Hey there,

It's been a while since we last spoke, hasn't it.

Maybe you are grinding away, or perhaps you are taking a small break from your usual routines to read this.

Well, I'll update you really quickly on what's been up.

I'm still traveling.

Since the last time I saw you in Singapore,Β I've spent some time indulging in vices in Bangkok, Thailand, physically exhausting myself with boxing on Boracay island, Philippines, took a small tour around Hong Kong, jumped back into the Bali, Indonesia Villa for a 1-week grind fest, met a few locals and old-heart breaks in Seoul, South Korea, did some whale-shark diving and tricycle exploring on Cebu Island, Philippines, and now doing my last leg exploring the cultural wonders of Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka in Japan.

Wow, what a mouth full…

Nonetheless, you have to admit, on paper that sounds amazing, and it certainly has an appeal of novelty… Who doesn't crave freedom at this level?

But… you don't feel comfortable… you feel empty.

You haven't been productive, at all. As of this post, you openly admit, that you are coasting in life.

Interestingly, as they say, money doesn't necessarily make you happy.

What makes you happy?

Having a set goal, and grinding towards it. Having all of your motivations in life aligned towards a single long-arching goal.

It's as if there is this plateau you have reached, that is just there…

You are sitting on a couch, looking at an open door, which leads to further progress, drive, and success. But in front of it is a big screen TV, filled with distractions. Your eyes are glued to the TV, and the couch is too comfortable to leave.

You are stuck in a comfort zone.

But you've been here before. Many, many times.

This isn't an external road block, like shit hitting the fan. It's an internal one, a deeper one.

One that requires re-aligning your motivations.

Or could it be as simple as – just doing… just starting again.

The spark is there, you just need to turn the ignition, and drive until something sticks.

Actually, that's always been your philosophy. Just do something, until that something sticks.

Just do. Just grind.

Just get back up, and keep going.

So let's get back to work!

Leonidas to Leonidas

  1. Thanks for the little bit of inspiration. Sometimes it’s hard staying focused on my IM goals, between normal life distractions, some comfort mixed in, along with my full time job (which also involves, adwords, bing, and other paid advertising management, which makes it hard to come home and work on the same exact things for myself).

    • Wow, working in paid advertising as well. Talk about full immersion. Thanks for the feedback Michael πŸ™‚

  2. Our teacher is actually action man it seems πŸ˜€

To get back up is the main thing! Motivation will come and go like the wind, we just have to keep shortening the length of time between it coming and going!

Because action isn’t just the effect of motivation but also the cause of it!

Inspiration – Motivation – Action? Yes But ALSO Action – Inspiration – Motivation!

    • Hey Jake, I like that. Action is the cause of motivation, and vice versa.

      Similar to motion creates emotion.

  3. “Success is the peace of mind attained as a direct result of the self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming”

  4. Leonidas!!!

Good to hear you’re enjoying yourself man! And yes, thanks for the extra push today.

While I might have been a little quiet these past few weeks, I have been still working on my campaigns. Not as much as I would have liked (due to some personal issues I had to take care of), but now I’m back…

Good thing one of the campaigns that I setup has been bringing in about $10/day in revenue. Not a lot but soon it’ll be more than that. So I can travel to exotic places like you Leonidas!:)

Well, all the best to you and talk soon!

    • Thanks Edgar for the update. I hope you continue to grind away, otherwise those exotic places may be a far reach at the moment. πŸ™‚
