You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life Review
Written in ‘pedestrian-speak' as the author, Jen Sincero puts it.
This is a very approachable self-development book, with a witty sense of humor, and a very fun way of communicating ideas.
Nothing new outside of the self-development niche is necessarily revealed here. After all, this is not a scientific revelation on new ways to have a better life.
Instead, it simply covers the fundamentals from almost all other self-help books, with an added ‘law of attraction'-style emphasis on ‘energy' in the universe.
But the book itself is not as ‘woo-woo' mystical energy as ‘law of attraction'.
Instead, it simply references the energy in the universe in a tongue and cheek-kind of way, to emphasize changing your state of mind.
Also, the prefacing stories for each chapter are quite fun to read.
Very entertaining, as if a self-help guru was also doing stand-up comedy.
Overall, ‘You Are A Badass' is a fun book to read, with some great coverage of self-help/development concepts.
